Unit rates basis of payment
Civil Engineering Procedure, 7th edition, published by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) defines the 'unit rates basis of payment' as:
| Payment at a fixed price ('rate') per unit of work done. In UK civil engineering 'admeasurement' contracts the predicted total amounts of work are usually stated item by item in a Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and the contractor is paid the rate for each x actual amount of work done. |
